x86_64 64bit Ubuntu setup on the MacBook Howto:



Set up flash in Firefox32:

download the Solaris flash tarball from the Adobe site, and extract the libflashplayer.so and the flashplayer.xpt
files to your Desktop, then issue:

mkdir /stuff && cd /stuff
wget http://home.comcast.net/~ubuntume/ff32-3in1-6.2.5.tar.gz

(or if it's gone I hosted it here: ... )
then untar it:

tar vzxf ff32-3in1-6.2.5.tar.gz && cd ff32-3in1
./3in1

sudo mkdir /usr/local/firefox32/plugins/flash7
sudo mv -f /usr/local/firefox32/plugins/libflashplayer.so /usr/local/firefox32/plugins/flash7/
sudo mv -f /home/<yourname>/Desktop/install_flash_player_9_linux/libflashplayer.so /usr/local/firefox32/plugins/flash7/

set up libdvdcss and w64codecs

sudo apt-get install w64codecs libdvdcss2
