Applications

I packed as much as possible into the OS. If you decide to do a full install, you can install more applications using synaptic or apt-get. A full install will use Grub2, and should update the grub2 theme automatically. Also, it boots on an 800MHz AMD in only 10 seconds! The optical drive live environment takes a considerable time to boot, maybe like 30-45 seconds.

Technician utilities!

SAMhunter is now available and allows the quick find and reset of Windows 7,Vista, XP, NT passwords using chntpw. There’s a new utility called RAV Hunter, which searches for and destroys, politely upon asking, Rogue AV Clients from infected Windows machines. Perlwd and the latest version of NetGh0st verions 3, was also added. The technician tools make me excited since I would use them on a daily basis.

Themes!

ISOLINUX theme has been updated, thanks to a nick of time update by Fragidelic on the Remastersys side, I was able to use a PNG for a splash screen. When the CD boots and says “boot:” simply hit enter.

I created a new iGoogle theme for WNLAv4!

It should show up in the iGoogle theme selection in a few days. (that’s how long it took to get the old theme in anyways.) You can click on the image above to see it in full size.

WeakNet Linux IV –
Coded A GUI Battery Monitor for Fluxbox, A new Tool called SMBea which automatically runs through each SMB exploit from Metasploit’s msfcli on a host, Coded a new Dash board for Metasploit to match the new WNLAv5 Theme, Re-coded and re-designed Web Hacking Portal (Now, version 5!), Added more tools to the Windows’ Technicians menu + Apple Technician Menu, New additions (applications, non INFOSEC) to the dock, Added “about this system” application to the main menu, and more!

I coded until i made myself ill and cross-eyed! I booted into the BETA live disk last night and ran a few tools, all seems well, but ISOLINUX sucks and I am stuck with it until Remastersys get’s updated, (hopefully before May 5th!!!)
